What more glorious sight is there in the English countryside around Easter than a carpet of bluebells in a woodland glade on a sunny day? Bluebell woods are more common in the UK than anywhere else in Europe and they especially thrive in ancient woodland, which of course the New Forest has plenty of!
Last weekend you might have seen an article that appeared in most national newspapers about the killing of a monarch Red Stag at Burley here in the New Forest. This is a grievous event that has saddened me deeply.
My first post on the new website! I should probably take a moment to ponder the last few months which has seen so much change in my life and try to appreciate where I am now and what lies ahead in the future.
